Surfers of all nationalities all know that there are few countries in the world with surfing conditions quite as good as Australia’s, making the country a mecca for surfers worldwide. There are simply magnificent surf spots to be found all along the endless Australian coastline, with the beaches Down Under representing the very best that the world’s oceans have for us to enjoy. Beyond certain stretches of coast that are not suited to surfing because of natural formations (bays, harbors and so on) it is hard to find a single spot of beach that doesn’t entice surfers with excellent surf breaks…meaning that a trip to pretty much any part of coastal Australia will be worth a surfer’s while.

Though all of Australia’s shoreline is gorgeous and has spectacular surf conditions, surfers tend to avoid the northern and more tropical waters because not only are they a bit calmer, but furthermore they are absolutely brimming with deadly jellyfish…a surfer’s nightmare!

In a country of this size, the other tracts of coastline are more than ample grounds (or waters) in which to seek out a good ride. Australia has many thousands of miles of beautiful beaches with some exceptional beach as well as reef breaks all along the way. Whether you’re in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean off Australia’s western coast or in the chilly waters off the southern end of the continent or the heavily frequented waters of the eastern shores, surfers will feel like their dreams have come true in any of these places.

Western Australia surely boasts some of the most exceptional surf spots, and the fact that the water gets nice and warm and the air even warmer makes it all that much more inviting. The Indian Ocean is at its best here, and perfect 6 feet tubes are a dime a dozen here. Surfers are advised to get to know such coastal destinations as Esperance, Albany or Margaret River (where the river opens into the sea, of course), all of which are famous for their ability to attract boarders from all over the planet.

South Australia offers surfers chillier waters, but hardly any other sacrifice! The surf conditions here are ideal despite the frigidness of the ocean, and the cold currents flowing northwards from Antarctica provide truly spectacular swells that are the stuff of surfing legends. The terrain is pretty rugged which makes accessing many beaches a bit of a challenge, but if you happen to be lucky enough to have a local guide and/or a 4WD vehicle you can surmount any obstacle just about. In this part of the country, surfers should definitely get to know spots like Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula, designated by local surfers and those that flock from the capital of Adelaide as being nothing short of the best.

A little farther to the east, the beaches of Victoria share many attributes with those of South Australia, with wet suits being generally necessary in both instances given the cold water coming up from the south. In spite of the frigid waters, the surfing conditions are nothing short of optimal, and once again being able to take advantage of the knowledge of a local is of huge help. Try to get to places such as Phillip Island, Torquay or Bells Beach, which visitors and locals have all agreed present some of the best surf breaks. A good way to get to know this stretch of Australian coast is simply to get on the Great Ocean Road, running for well over 100 miles.

Moving back towards warmer waters, the beaches of New South Wales are a little more trendy and frequented but the surf conditions are still at their best, such as the spots around the city of Sydney and more remote places like Lennox, Byron Bay and Angourie.

Farther north still, Queensland has such ideal surd destinations as the Gold Coast to speak of. Surfing is a way of life around here, and beach names like Surfers Paradise pretty much explain themselves as a result. In Queensland’s upper reaches, surfers can even get a glimpse of the natural wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, a rare and precious natural jewel unlike any other in the world.

At last, there are the surf spots of Tasmania to be reckoned with, yet only for the brave of heart that is! Again in pretty chilly waters, many areas are inaccessible but if you do manage to get around, try going to the eastern end of the island for the best surf breaks.

trying Surf Industry business opportunities, why wouldn’t you try the Global Surfing Serfices surf travel group?

If you’re ready to ditch the Walkman and go high-tech with your portable music needs, you’re probably in the market for an MP3 player. For the non-gadget geeks among us, selecting a digital music player involves navigating some choppy waters. It’s easy to get bowled over by the waves of new technology—shuffles, nanos…where do you start?

As with any purchase, you can start by assessing your needs. There are three major types of MP3 players: flash, microdrive, and hard drive. Each has its pros and cons, many of which are dependent upon how you plan to use your MP3 player.

First, think about the size of your music collection. Do you have a modest sized collection of just your all-time faves or are you the live-for-music type who’s first in line when a new CD comes out? At most, a flash MP3 player will hold the equivalent of approximately 20 CDs. This size could be just right for people who plan to use their MP3 players mainly for their daily workouts.

The microdrive is the middle ground. They hold anywhere from 50 to 120 CDs. For the majority of us, a microdrive is big enough to hold most every song we want. If not, then you want the hard drive MP3 player. These puppies will hold your entire collection—as many as 1200 CDs.

The size and weight of each type of MP3 player corresponds with the amount of music it can hold. A hard drive is going to be bigger and heavier than a flash player. Price works the same way. You’ll pay more for a player that holds more. You can get a flash MP3 player for less than $150, a minidrive for $150-250, and a hard drive for $250 and up.

Next, think about where you’ll be taking your MP3 player. For example, if you want something you can listen to at the gym, a flash player might be the right choice because it tends to be lighter. A hard drive player would be bulky and heavy, at least in relation to a workout.

The flash is also a good choice for someone who wants something to listen to for short periods of time, such as during a commute. If you’ll be listening to your MP3 player for hours on end, you’ll want something that holds more music. It won’t take long to go through the 20 CDs worth of songs on a flash. A minidrive is a good compromise. It’s relatively small and light, but still holds enough music to prevent your favorite song from becoming your least favorite song because you’ve listened to it 30 times.

We’ve said that the hard drive MP3 player is bigger and heavier than the other two kinds. That’s only relatively speaking, of course. It’s hardly like lugging around a concrete block. If you want all your music with you all the time, a hard drive is the way to go. For instance, this type of player is good for someone who goes on long trips without access to their collection for switching out songs.

If you are interested in choosing a restaurant, there are many details to consider. Cost, convenience, and the quality of the food must all be examined. Also worth considering is occasion. Once these details are solved, food type must then be considered.

I will examine the many factors that go into choosing a place to eat. Additionally, I will examine the various different food types available.

Things to consider:

Occasion – Formal settings are appropriate for meals in which you are trying to impress a guest with. For large gatherings, family style establishments are appropriate. However, if you are by yourself, you might try a fast-food establishment.

Convenience – Choosing a service that is convenient can be an integral part of the decision making process. For example, perhaps the easiest transaction is to select delivery or take-out dining.

Quality – Overall quality can affect many details of your dining experience. The ingredients, nutritional value, and overall restaurant atmosphere can have varying degrees of quality.

Cost – Keeping in mind your budget for food is important when deciding on a restaurant. Always remember that price can affect your overall enjoyment of the food.

Types of food:

American – If you like cheeseburgers and fries washed down with a shake, you’ll love this type of place.

Mexican – Many people’s favorite ethnic food, Mexican dishes can vary greatly. Enjoy tacos, burritos, tamales, and more.

Asian – Great for a healthy lifestyle, Asian food is rich in protein and vegetables. Try your dish of rice with chicken or tofu.

Sushi – If you are concerned with healthy choices, try seaweed and fish with this prestigious selection.

South American – Offering well-respected steak from Argentina, as well as a diet rich in meat, potatoes and regional plants, this is a delicious option.

Southern – For the healthy-hearted, dig in to fried treats like chicken and catfish, or even things out with a plate of greens.

Italian – Pizza, pasta, and lasagna. Need I say more? Choose from the many variations of the above dishes.

French – Often times when people think of French food, they think of pastries. The choices I’m sure are endless.

Seafood – Choose a simple shellfish, or something more unique like swordfish or squid.

Types of restaurants:

Fast food – If you want food that is quick and filling, but murder on your health, this is the choice for you.

Order at counter – Order at the front, get your food relatively fast, don’t worry about the tip, and enjoy quality dishes. A great option.

Diner – Nostalgic places that offer simple classics like apple pie a la mode. Grab a seat at the counter, or a booth with your friends.

Sit down restaurant – Usually offering the best food, in a formal setting, with excellent atmosphere. This is the choice for special occasions.

Delivery – For a usually small fee and tip to the delivery person, have your food dropped off at home to by enjoyed without the hustle and bustle of big crowds.

The many options above go to show the various decisions that must be made when one chooses a restaurant. Hopefully this information has provided you with the insights on food choice necessary to come to a decision.

Trying to find the perfect Vancouver real estate agency? One of the main criteria for purchasing a home is location. Vancouver doctors and Vancouver restaurants must be closely located, so traveling distance will be minimized.

A Nation Remembers JFK

Dallas pays homage to one of its darkest times, when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated during his 1963 visit. Designed by Kennedy family friend, Philip Johnson, the John F. Kennedy Memorial is an open-roofed, concrete walled monument symbolic of an open tomb. It is not unusual to find flowers and notes placed here. Nearby, the infamous School Book Depository and Grassy Knoll have changed little since that devastating day in our Nation’s history.
Downtown, Main and Houston Streets

Sports Connection

With teams in every major sports league, Dallas loves its hometown sports, and many Dallas Cowboys football, Texas Rangers baseball, Dallas Mavericks basketball, Dallas Stars hockey and Dallas Burn soccer games are televised. So cheer on your winning team at home, hotel or at one of Dallas’ many Sports Bars.

Zut Alors, apprendre vous Francais! Oh pardon my French: Of course, you can learn French. Learning any foreign is an important part of formal or informal education. In the first place, it is so practical, particularly if you travel for business or pleasure. Secondly, you may also have friends or relatives who speak a different language. Also, studies show that children that learn a second language are better students all around.

So you may be thinking to yourself,Who can benefit from these Learn French CDs? A student can benefit by supplementing their classroom time with home study. Too much of class time is spent teaching to the middle of the pack. To break away from that middle, you can practice your French at home. An extra two to three hours a week will boost your grades and is much better spent than video games, texting, or watching MTV. They will also come in handy right before an exam. You can also use these CDs to review French before a trip abroad. Whether it is Paris, Montreal, or San Tropez, you will not be intimidated by the locals.

It can all sound a little bit weird and wonderful, Language skills are hard enough to attain, but it is even worse to maintain them if you never have a chance to use them. Audio is great and has been used since the days of 78 RPM records. The key is repetition. This also has worked for tapes for decades. A Learn French CD combines the audio and the repetition, with visual aids and written techniques. You will learn French and, because it is on a CD you will learn it again when you need to.

So is it possible for you to learn French ? Of course, you can learn French. Learning any foreign is an important part of formal or informal education. In the first place, it is so practical, particularly if you travel for business or pleasure. Secondly, you may also have friends or relatives who speak a different language. Also, studies show that children that learn a second language are better students all around.

So when it comes to the crunch, learning French or any foreign language just makes you a better rounded person. So, pick up a “Learn French CD” and you can move your education and your life forward.

Is it possible for you to learn this weird, yet sexy language ? Of course, you can learn French. Learning any foreign is an important part of formal or informal education. In the first place, it is so practical, particularly if you travel for business or pleasure. Secondly, you may also have friends or relatives who speak a different language. Also, studies show that children that learn a second language are better students all around.

All prospective pilots must complete high school. A college-preparatory curriculum is recommended because of the need for pilots to have at least some college education.

Most companies that employ pilots require at least two years of college training. Courses in engineering, meteorology, physics and mathematics are helpful in preparing for a pilot’s career. Flying is taught in military and civilian flying schools. There are approximately 600 civilian flying schools certified by the FAA, including some universities that offer degree credit for pilot training. Pilots leaving the military are in great demand.

Certification or Licensing

To become a pilot, certain rigid training requirements must be met. Although obtaining a private pilot’s license is not difficult, it may be quite difficult to obtain a commercial license. Before you make your first solo flight, you must get a medical certificate and an instructor-endorsed student pilot certificate. In order to get that, you must pass a test given by the flight instructor. The test will have questions about FAA rules as well as questions about the model and make of the aircraft you will fly. If you pass the test and the instructor feels you are prepared to make a solo flight, the instructor will sign and endorse your pilot certificate and logbook.

To apply for a PPL (private pilots license), you must take a written examination. To qualify, you must be at least 17, successfully fulfill a solo flying requirement of 20 hours or more and meet instrument flying and cross-country flying requirements.

Types of Pilot Licenses

Student pilot certificate – Used for the initial training period of flying. Student pilots must fly with a flight instructor and can only fly solo after receiving appropriate endorsements from their flight instructor.

Recreation pilot certificate – Limits the pilot to specific classes and categories of aircraft, a limited number of passengers, the distance that may be flown from the point of departure, and flight into controlled airports.

Private pilot certificate – Allows a pilot to carry passengers and use his or her aircraft for limited business purposes.

Commercial pilot certificate – Allows a pilot to fly for compensation and hire

Airline transport pilot certificate – Required to fly as captain by some air transport operations.

All pilots and co-pilots must be licensed by the FAA before they can do any type of commercial flying. An applicant who is’ years old and has 250 hours of flying time can apply for a commercial pilot license. You must pass a rigid physical exam and a written test. Before you receive an FAA license, you must also receive a rating for the kind of plane you can fly (single-engine, multi-engine) and for the specific type of plane such as Boeing 747 or 707.

Sound physical and emotional health are essential requirements for aspiring pilots. Emotional stability is necessary because the safety of other people depends upon a pulot remaining claim and levelheaded, no matter how trying the situation. Physical health is equally important. You must have 20/20 vision with or without glasses, good hearing; normal heart rate and blood pressure, and no physical handicaps that could hinder performance.
