@computertastic You’re kidding. Right? Anyone that has used a computer more than the 15 minute express internet at the library knows in common computer parlance PC refers to Windows & Mac refers to the better computer. Did you know that whales aren’t really mammals? They’re fish like you and me! Yes I know a Smart Phone is a computer Mr Newton.

@candytrackz Yes. just connect it to the internet and it should work although you will want to change the settings to enable security because otherwise your files and info are at risk

@kinkaid25 Sure is I love my belkin N+ router with usb storage imput its so nice to have access to my external harddrive anywhere in the house

computertastic June 3rd, 2010 at 5:50 am

@newcoyote No offence but technically even macs are PC’s because PC stands for Personal Computer and a Personal computer is a small digital computer based on a microprocessor and designed to be used by one person at a time which includes a mac.

Did you know a smart phone is also a PC.

@ebz95 All you need to do is connect it to a monitor or tv and change the display settings to do dual screen. It works the exact same way as a desktop does

@HakerzTM Sorry but your internet speeds only go as fast as the slowest part and sense your AT&T router is slow adding a wireless router too it will not make it any faster all it will do is allow you to connect more computers to it.

If you have the right hardware however the better router will give you a longer distance to use the wifi.

blade004 June 3rd, 2010 at 10:55 am

Yes, they most certainly can :) I have 3 laptops connected to my one router.

blade004 June 3rd, 2010 at 11:50 am

Just fixing that last bit :)

he is just referencing the systems in simplistic terms for basic networking purposes and does not need to be particular or anal in his approach.

blade004 June 3rd, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Going back as far as the 1980′s such as a Acorn Archimedes, Amstrad, Atari St, Commodore Amiga, IBM, Mac..etc.. all of them are deemed a Personal Computer (PC) and yes i know that a Windows computer is always termed a PC and has no real relevant brand name because its never been proprietary hardware but if the man in the video is simply calling the MAC a PC, he is just referencing the system he is plugging the computer he is using for simple networking purposes and does not need to be particular
