Let’s say you had not observed any television for the previous 10 years. The last time you studied anything, you were watching analog programs and the only control you had over what you studied came by changing the channel and hoping something better was on or recording a program on a VCR. You probably enjoyed television, but certainly failed to find it terribly flexible and, at time, it seemed very inconvenient.
